Chess Olympics started in Paris 1924 w an ind.tournam. won by H. Mattison, thus celebr. the birth of FIDE. In London 1927 it was a large arrangement like in the Haag. 1928 had also an ind. Tourn. for Amateurs won by Euwe! Allan Nilsson, Sweden, took 6 p in this tournament. In the Olympic team tourn. Stoltz, Jacobsson, Eric Jons- son and Ståhlberg played for Sweden with Ored Karlin as 5th member - with success.
